New dishwasher!

Oh the things that make us happy. Last week our new dishwasher was installed! The old one was slowly dying and was so loud when it was running that it scared Benjamin. We couldn't even hear the phone ringing over the noise! So we finally got a new one. When we turned it on for the first time last night we could hardly hear it. We had to put our ear next to it to make sure it was working! Now we just have to figure out the best way to put all our dishes in it and try to keep Benjamin out of it!

Next we get to replace our oven (it's from the 1970's) and our refrigerator that has duct tape all over the inside. They both work well, they just look old, so it's going to be awhile. If only appliances were less expensive...

Joys and Frustrations

Benjamin's had a lot of fun the past few weeks. As well as crawling everywhere, he's pulling up on everything he can. He no longer will sit in his pack 'n play and play, he has to stand up! He's also a very curious boy. He loves to pull books and cds off their shelves and hates it when he can't get into the fridge (as you can see, Grandma let him check out hers) or a room. He loves doors and will move them back and forth until he accidentally shuts them and gets frustrated that they won't open again.

His top teeth are working on coming in and we're wondering if that's related to why he won't take his sippy cup. He used to take a little water from it and then push it away and play with it. But now he won't take any or will just cry if he sees it. We've tried two different kinds of cups and are taking a break from it right now, hoping to re-introduce it in a few days and have a different result. We want him to get used to it so when he turns one he can take milk from that and not a bottle! If you have any advice, let us know!
