The truth about CTS emerges a little more ...

... not about the situation itself, but at least about RT's dubious conclusion that the situation illustrates sexism on the part of CTS. For all of us who have appreciated how much Neal, Duane, and Henry have led the way for the Seminary and the denomination in opening new doors for women in the CRC, this charge (as well as RT's portraits of them as conspiring bullies) struck us as very strange.

Now my colleagues Anne and Kathy, as well as Mary VB, state in letters in today's Chimes that CTS has been hospitable and supportive of their study, leadership, and spiritual growth.

None of which takes away any of the urgency of the need for CTS to diversify, a need Andrea articulates passionately. But it does help clarify that Neal, Duane and Henry are part of the solution, not part of the problem. And it suggests that RT's criticism of them on this specific issue is as counterproductive as it is ironic.

While interesting, it doesn't seem that that information is all that relevant.
